Israel orders Spain to stop consular services for Palestinians
Israel ordered the Spanish consulate in Jerusalem to cease consular services for Palestinians from June 1, in response to Spain's recognition of a Palestinian state. Israel's foreign ministry emphasized that the consulate is only authorized to serve the consular district of Jerusalem. This action follows Spain, Ireland, and Norway's recognition of the State of Palestine.
