ECP suspends lawmakers elected on reserved seats

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has suspended lawmakers elected on reserved seats after the Supreme Court's verdict on the matter. This decision follows the suspension of the PHC's and ECP's verdict on same by a three-member SC bench. The Punjab Assembly speaker has also suspended the allocation of reserved seats to the coalition.

ECP issues code of conduct for Senate elections

PTI calls for ECP’s resignation after reserved seats verdict

PTI Senator Ali Zafar has demanded the resignation of Pakistan's Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after the rejection of Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) plea for reserved seats. Zafar also called for proceedings against the Chief Election Commissioner, stating the ECP committed a constitutional mistake by ruling against the SIC. The ECP ruled that SIC is not eligible for reserved seats in the National Assembly.

ECP notifies victory of PML-N candidates from Islamabad NA seats

The Election Commission of Pakistan issued a victory notification for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidates from three NA seats in Islamabad. ECP extends voting time in THESE constituencies

Polling will continue till 5 pm, with results expected after 6 pm. Incidents of violence and clashes at polling stations were reported.

Blast outside ECP office in Balochistan; no casualties

A bomb blast occurred outside the Election Commission of Pakistan's office in Nushki District, Balochistan. No casualties were reported. Police cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation. The Election Commission has sought reports while the Bomb Disposal Squad indicated that 400 grams of explosives were used in the homemade bomb.

PPP submits reservations to ECP over election results system

The People's Party has submitted reservations about the election results system to the Election Commission of Pakistan. PTI founder and other party leaders were found defaulters of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) during scrutiny. The ECP has released a list of candidates who failed to pay fines for code of conduct violations, including former prime minister and PTI members. Candidates failing to pay fines will face rejection of their nomination papers.
