Govt announces public holiday on Feb 29

The district administration has declared a public holiday on Feb 29 for the three-day Annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, commencing from that date. The Urs will feature cultural events, security measures, and facilitation camps for devotees. Caretaker officials have also visited the shrine to review measures.

These vehicles will not get entry on motorways after Feb 5

The National Highway and Motorway Authority (NHMA) has made M-Tag registration mandatory for all vehicles on Pakistan's motorways starting from February 5. Vehicles without M-Tag will not be allowed entry. Motorists are advised to obtain M-Tag at customer care centers and adhere to safety measures, including using fog lights during adverse weather conditions.
