Summer vacations announced in KP schools

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has announced summer vacations in schools across the province. Primary schools will be closed from June 1st, while middle, high, and higher secondary schools will be closed from June 15th to August 31st. In upper districts, schools will be closed from July 1st to August 31st. Other provinces have also announced summer holidays due to extreme heat.

KP govt moves SC for live telecast of NAB amendments case

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has submitted a petition to the Supreme Court, requesting live telecast of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance 1999 amendment case, highlighting the absence of live-streaming as discriminatory. This follows the top court's decision to permit video-link participation in the case, a move that wasn't broadcasted live on the Supreme Court's YouTube channel. The federal government has also filed a review plea in the same case, urging the nullification of the top court's decision.

21 killed in rain-triggered accidents in KP: PDMA

At least 21 people were killed in rain-triggered accidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to heavy rains in the past four days. The victims included nine children and three women, with 32 people injured. Rain caused 330 incidents of roof and wall collapses, resulting in the destruction of 53 houses and partial damage to 277 others. The province has experienced significant downpours, with flash floods hitting various districts of Balochistan. Railway traffic on the Sibi-Harnai section has been suspended due to flooding.

Nawaz Sharif lashes out at PTI govt in KP

Nawaz Sharif criticized the previous PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during a public gathering in Swat. He accused Imran Khan of making fake promises and failing to deliver in KP, claiming that PML-N would have improved the province's situation. He also accused Imran Khan of compromising national security to maintain his rule.
