Spurious liquor factories were raided in Karachi's Defense area by the Excise and Narcotics Department following a death. Two suspects were arrested for selling expensive fake liquor bottles in the city. Thousands of bottles of fake branded liquor were recovered, being sold for Rs 16,000 to Rs 30,000 each. Last week, a man died after consuming fake liquor in the same area. Furthermore, a drug manufacturing lab was discovered in a separate raid earlier, where hashish was being converted into liquid form for use in electric cigarettes, and two persons were arrested.
