DUBAI: Pakistan have been penalised two ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points for maintaining a slow over-rate in the recently-concluded Perth Test against Australia.
Australian opener Usman Khawaja wore a black armband during the first Test against Pakistan in Perth on Thursday. This decision followed his unsuccessful attempt to wear shoes with human rights messages, a move opposed by Cricket Australia and the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Pakistan paid the price for dropped catches and a missed stumping and run-out opportunity on the first day as Australia continued to build their innings, driven by David Warner's 26th Test century.
Perth Scorchers dominated Melbourne Stars with a seven-wicket victory in the BBL 2023/24 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
