PTI founder, Bushra Bibi’s plea seeking medical examination approved

An accountability court in Islamabad approved Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s request for a medical examination. The court also allowed UK minister Sayeeda Warsi to meet Imran Khan. Witnesses testified against the couple in the £190 million reference, and the hearing has been adjourned until May 15. The case involves alleged gain of land causing a £190 million loss to the exchequer.

PTI founder and other party leaders were found defaulters of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) during scrutiny. The ECP has released a list of candidates who failed to pay fines for code of conduct violations, including former prime minister and PTI members. Candidates failing to pay fines will face rejection of their nomination papers.
