PKR gains 17 paisa against USD

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) gained 17 paisa against the US dollar (USD), closing at Rs 278.30 in interbank trading. The Euro dropped by 64 paisa to close at Rs 301.67, while the British Pound and Japanese Yen also witnessed declines. The Ministry of Finance reported a 2.9% strengthening of PKR against the USD in the current financial year.

Pakistani rupee loses ground against USD

Pakistani Rupee weakens by 07 paisa against USD in interbank trading. USD closed at Rs 279.26, open market rates at Rs 279.2-282.1. Euro increased by Rs1.04 to Rs 303.09, Japanese Yen remains unchanged at Rs185, British Pound increases by Rs1.15 to Rs 354.02. Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal rates increased by 02 paisa each. PSX index gains 681 points for political stability hopes.

Rupee continues to recover against USD

The rupee gained 07 paisa against the US dollar, closing at Rs279.49 in interbank trading, with open market rates at Rs279.75 for buying and Rs282.3 for selling. Additionally, the price of Euro, Japanese Yen, and British Pound fluctuated. In the domestic market, 24-karat gold and platinum experienced price fluctuations.

USD: Dollar set for biggest weekly jump since May

The US Dollar is poised for its largest weekly gain since May as expectations of early rate cuts dwindle. Its strength has impacted the euro, despite easing inflation pressure on the European Central Bank. Data supports the dollar’s momentum, and there's anticipation for influencing payrolls report later in the day. The Euro saw a sharp decline, reflecting uncertainty about ECB policy and inflation.
