Truck with Wheat Cargo Stolen from Karachi Port

On Tuesday, reports emerged that a truck carrying a valuable cargo of wheat was stolen from Karachi Port. The shocking incident occurred as the truck, equipped with a fake number plate, easily passed through the port gate without any hindrance from the port security, KPT, and customs officials. It is deeply concerning that a truck without a gate pass and proper documentation was able to navigate its way out of the port. However, there is some good news. The importer managed to apprehend the stolen truck and promptly handed it over to the KPT. In light of this incident, an inquiry has been initiated by the General Manager of KPT to determine how such a critical lapse in security and documentation occurred. The port authorities have also taken the essential step of filing an FIR for this theft, which took place on October 21. It is crucial for the responsible parties to conduct a thorough investigation and implement corrective measures to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
