After Elon Musk, the new owner of the Twitter platform, conducted a poll and found that a sizable majority of voters supported the move, Donald Trump’s notorious Twitter account was reinstated on Saturday, just days before the former US president announced that he would be running for president again.
Due to his involvement in the January 6 attack on the US Capitol by a mob of his supporters seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Trump’s account was removed from the platform early last year.
“The majority has spoken.Musk tweeted shortly after the conclusion of the 24-hour Twitter poll on his account, “Trump will be reinstated.”
