After the instructions of Asif Zardari, the agriculture department fixed the price of cotton


Karachi: In response to the directives of Asif Zardari, the agriculture department has established a fixed price for cotton in Sindh. The price has been set at 8,500 rupees per maund.

According to a report by ARY News, the agriculture department, under the guidance of Asif Zardari, has determined the price of cotton at 8,500 rupees per maund throughout Sindh. An official notification has been issued by the agriculture department to this effect.

Agriculture officers have been instructed to ensure that farmers receive the designated price as set by the agriculture department. Asif Zardari had previously expressed concern to the federal government regarding cotton prices, leading to Sindh Agriculture Minister Manzoor Wasan issuing the notification based on Asif Zardari’s instructions.

The agriculture department has received complaints regarding farmers not receiving the designated price from the factories. In response, measures have been directed to ensure that the fixed price is supplied to the farmers in Sindh.
