Marking a momentous achievement, the inaugural international flight took off from Skardu Airport on Tuesday, bound for Dubai, and setting an important historical milestone. Recently designated as an international airport, Skardu Airport’s elevation to this status is underscored by this significant event.
With 160 passengers on board, the maiden flight embarked on its voyage from Skardu Airport to Dubai. This follows the noteworthy occasion when Skardu Airport welcomed its inaugural international flight from Dubai on Pakistan’s Independence Day, August 14.
Upon its arrival at Skardu Airport, the flight was greeted with a warm and hospitable reception. This progression follows Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) introduction of direct flights connecting Karachi and Skardu in June, shortly after the commencement of direct flights from Lahore.
The inaugural Lahore-Skardu flight took off on June 3. Nestled within the breathtaking expanse of the Karakoram mountain range, Skardu presents an awe-inspiring haven for adventure enthusiasts, nature admirers, and history buffs alike.
