Cipher case: Chairman PTI’s judicial remand extended till September 13


Islamabad: In the Saifur Case, the judicial remand of PTI Chairman’s legal counsel has been extended until the 13th of September.

According to details, the hearing of the Saifur Case took place at the Deputy Superintendent Jail’s office, where Judge Abu-al-Hassanat Zulqarnain presided over the hearing under the Official Secrets Act.

In the presence of judicial officials, FIA officials, and PTI lawyers, the Chairman of PTI was presented before a special court judge.

Judge Abu-al-Hassanat Zulqarnain has extended the judicial remand of the PTI Chairman in the Saifur Case until the 13th of September.

Subsequently, in the Saifur Case, the legal team of PTI Chairman filed a post-arrest bail request, which Judge Abu-al-Hassanat Zulqarnain requested evidence from both sides for on the 2nd of September.

After the hearing under the Official Secrets Act, Judge Abu-al-Hassanat Zulqarnain left for Islamabad.

It should be noted that prior to this, the Ministry of Law had granted permission for the hearing of the Saifur Case in Adiala Jail, and upon the Ministry of Interior’s request, the Ministry of Law and Justice had issued a notification for the jail hearing.

The decision for the jail hearing in the Saifur Case was made considering security concerns.

It is clear that in the Saifur Case, the special court had approved a fourteen-day judicial remand of PTI Chairman.
