ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faiz Isa, has granted permission for the live broadcast of court proceedings during a full court session. The government’s television network has finalized all necessary preparations.

In a comprehensive meeting held under the leadership of Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, the full court assembly approved the live broadcasting of court proceedings. The inaugural hearing of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act case will be accessible for viewing on official television, and the Chief Justice’s family has also arrived at the guest gallery to witness the first hearing.
The government’s television network has concluded its arrangements to transmit the court proceedings live, with their cameras now installed in the courtroom.
It is worth noting that today, the hearing of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act case is scheduled to take place. Chief Justice Qazi Faizai will preside over this full court hearing, which includes all 15 judges of the Supreme Court.
It is important to recall that a previous eight-member larger bench, under the leadership of former Chief Justice Umar Attabandial, had issued a restraining order in the Practice and Procedure case.
Justice Qazi Faizaisa had consistently maintained for several months that he would not participate in any bench until a decision was reached regarding the Practice and Procedure Act. This stance was also articulated when he recused himself from the bench handling the case related to the establishment of special courts.
