The nation is joyfully observing Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) on Friday with deep religious devotion, as people from all walks of life come together to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The day commenced with a thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital, Islamabad, and a twenty-one-gun salute in all provincial capitals, as reported by Radio Pakistan. Following the Fajr prayers, special supplications were offered at mosques, focusing on the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the advancement and prosperity of the nation.
According to the state broadcaster, various cities and towns across Pakistan have arranged special conferences, events, and Mehfil-e-Milad gatherings to pay homage to the last messenger of Allah Almighty, whose life and teachings are regarded as a guiding light for all of humanity.
Streets, roads, buildings, mosques, and homes have been adorned with vibrant lights and flags to mark this auspicious occasion.
Both President Dr. Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar extended their heartfelt greetings and urged unity among the populace. President Alvi, in his message, underscored that the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is an “immense blessing for all of humanity,” as his life epitomized obedience to Allah Almighty, justice, compassion, and love for fellow human beings.
“In the entire life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), we find a flawless model not only for faith and worship but also for all facets of life,” President Alvi stated, emphasizing that his teachings manifest the comprehensiveness and universality of the message of Islam.
He emphasized that Pakistan is a country with diverse cultures and religious diversity, and therefore, “We should cherish this diversity and work diligently to promote unity and better understanding among fellow citizens.”
The president also highlighted the timeless and universal nature of the Prophet’s teachings, which continue to offer solutions to the myriad challenges confronting the world today. He called upon all Pakistanis to appreciate the nation’s cultural and religious diversity and strive for understanding and unity among its people.
PM Kakar, on the other hand, encouraged the nation to align their lives with Islamic principles and disseminate the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He reminded Pakistanis of their privilege in being part of the Ummah of the Prophet (PBUH). He also stressed that the life of the Prophet (PBUH) serves as an exemplar of compassion, tolerance, and love. He urged Pakistanis to embrace the values of brotherhood, love, and compassion advocated by the Prophet (PBUH) and to make His message a guiding light for unity and brotherhood among Muslims and individuals of various faiths.
The prime minister called for turning to the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings, especially at a time when Pakistan faces various challenges. He also called for compassion for the less fortunate, as emphasized by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). “Let us unite to assist those who are in distress, extend a helping hand to those in need, and construct a more equitable and just society for all,” he remarked.
Kakar prayed to Almighty Allah to transform Pakistan into a cradle of peace, progress, and fraternity and enable his fellow countrymen to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) both collectively and individually.
