COMSATS awards degrees to 1,384 pupils


In a memorable ceremony held at Comsats University Abbottabad, 1,357 students, encompassing both undergraduates and graduates, were conferred with degrees. Moreover, 27 students achieved the prestigious accolade of earning their PhDs, and 47 outstanding students were acknowledged with gold, bronze, and silver medals.

This event, taking place on the campus grounds, marked the 22nd and 23rd convocations of the university. The esteemed guest for the occasion was Professor Sajid Qamar, Vice-Chancellor of the Islamia University of Islamabad.

During his address at the convocation, Professor Sajid Qamar lauded the commitment of the university’s management and faculty members to elevating Pakistan’s educational standards on the global stage. He stressed the essential role that graduates play in the country’s advancement and encouraged them to contribute to Pakistan’s development through their skills and dedication. The Vice-Chancellor underscored the significance of scientific research in driving economic growth and addressing the challenges of the 21st century.

Furthermore, the special guest emphasized the importance of acquiring robust academic skills in relevant fields for a successful professional life. He praised the efforts of Professor Dr. Muhammad Ma’roof Shah, the Director of the Abbottabad campus, in imparting excellent academic skills to the students. Dr. Sajid Qamar urged the graduates to maintain a strong work ethic and express gratitude to their parents and teachers.
