Prolific all-rounder Imad Wasim has answered if he would pardon Pakistan captain Babar Azam if he apologizes for not including Imad in Pakistan’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 squad.
It is pertinent to mention that Babar Azam has come under criticism for his individual performances and leadership skills. A section of social media lambasted him by alleging that he made selectors pick his ‘friends’ in the World Cup 2023 squad.
The fans had called on the selection of all-rounder Imad Wasim on the back of his performances in the Caribbean Premier League 2023. However, he was not selected for the tournament.
Mohammad Hafeez, considered to be one of the country’s greatest players, opened up on Imad Wasim’s exclusion from the team. During a sports show, the former Pakistan captain – following the side’s historic loss to Afghanistan – said Babar Azam should issue a public apology for not picking him for the ongoing world championships in India.
Imad Wasim shared his views on Mohammad Hafeez’s statements about him on a private channel. The all-rounder said that the country would forgive the Pakistan skipper if he led the side to victory.
Imad Wasim added that he has no expectations from anyone as everything is in the hands of Almighty Allah.
