In Saudi Arabia, female students are banned from wearing abaya in exam halls

Riyadh: The government of Saudi Arabia has banned female students from wearing abaya in examination centers.

According to Gulf News, the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) said that female students will not be allowed to wear abaya during the exam.

According to ETEC, female students must adhere to the school uniform inside the examination halls while the school uniforms will be made following the effective code of public decency.

The Education Evaluation Commission is the government body that plans education and training systems in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

It should be remembered that in the year 2019, the Saudi government, while announcing tourist visas for the first time, removed the mandatory condition of wearing abaya for foreign female tourists.
