Golden Iqama, good news for UAE nationals

ABU DHABI: UAE has added six more categories to achieve Golden Iqama.

According to Emirates Daily, it was reported on the official website that the United Arab Emirates has indicated to add six more categories to the Golden Iqama.

According to the authorities, the six new categories that will be allowed to obtain Golden Iqama will include prominent scholars and religious leaders, but the candidates will have to submit a letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Culture and Youth or relevant local authorities.

In the new category, unique experts in the fields of industry and the fourth industrial revolution will also be selected for the golden award, for which the candidates will also have to submit a letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Industry and Technology or relevant local authorities.

Similarly, experts in the education sector in the new categories will also be given the opportunity to obtain Golden Iqama, provided that they present a letter of recommendation from the Ministry of Education and Training or the Abu Dhabi Department of Education, for this, they have an effective education in Abu Dhabi or the Emirates. A permit is also required. Candidates who will be granted Golden Iqamah. Their tenure will be for 10 years.

It should be noted that the regulations issued by the UAE Cabinet regarding Golden Iqama are being implemented from September. Initially, it was decided to give Golden Iqama to people in seven categories.

It should be noted that long-term Golden Iqama is being granted to investors and individuals of exceptional ability in Abu Dhabi, with the aim of providing them with opportunities to live and work in Abu Dhabi for years to come.
