Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi, has passed away at the age of 58. He was the brother of Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to reports from Arab media, Sheikh Saeed had been battling serious illness for a period of time. In June 2010, he was appointed as the representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
In honor of his passing, the UAE government has declared three days of mourning, during which the national flag will be flown at half-mast. This is a solemn occasion for the nation as they bid farewell to a prominent member of their ruling family.
